Arms of Love

Garbage dumps,
Back alleys,
Sewer systems.
These are places most of us avoid. But for more than 40 million children around the world, such places hold a different meaning: home.
Orphaned, abandoned, abused... many countries lack the facilities needed to care for such children, so they must survive on their own through begging, theft and prostitution. Without intervention, some of these children will die on the streets, while others will be incarcerated in adult prisons.
Arms of Love International is committed to establishing homes to care for these children. Local Christian churches are involved in the management and operation of each home, and private business enterprises are developed to discourage
long-term dependency. These homes help the children become productive members of their communities through education, vocational training, and the development of other life skills. But most importantly, Arms of Love provides each child with a Christian family environment in which to grow and mature. A place where they will be held, cherished, and loved.
A place worthy of being called home.

ADVENT - New Hope
Our name, ADVENT, represents the coming of a new day . . . and new hope . . . for troubled children. We place abused and neglected children in loving Christian Foster Homes where, with God's help and the expertise of qualified caseworkers, their deep needs can be addressed. They learn that their struggles can lead to joy and a realization of their full potential.
ADVENT - Complete Care
About 85% of our funding comes from the state and local government agencies that place children with us. An additional 15% comes from individuals like you who want to support this type of ministry to hurting children. It makes possible the program elements that enable us to actually treat abused children, rather than simply "warehouse" them until they turn 18 and are released to live on their own.
Advent's staff, supporters, and board of directors are drawn from the Christian Community-not from any single church or denomination.
